Daphne Drake is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate who has earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego and Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with an emphasis in Transpersonal Wilderness Therapy, from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. Daphne works with adults from diverse backgrounds experiencing significant life changes. She experiences working with incarcerated individuals facing complex mental health, addiction and trauma has equipped her with a deep understanding of resilience and the power of finding meaning in difficult situations.
As a humanistic counselor, Daphne believes that every one of them are fundamentally good and have the potential for growth. She is non-judgmental and inclusive and have worked extensively with clients of diverse gender identities, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and socioeconomic factors. As a BIPOC counselor, Daphne understands the importance of creating a safe space where client’s unique experiences are valued and validated. She recognizes the impact of systemic factors and will work with clients to navigate them.
